Brookgate has vowed to push ahead with an appeal against the refusal for the next phase of its 1.6m sq ft CB1 development in Cambridge.
Cambridge city council this week turned down plans for a second time for the 133,000 sq ft mixed-used scheme at 50-60 Station Road. It previously refused the scheme in July last year, despite it being recommended for approval.
Brookgate chief executive Sven Töpel said: “We are surprised and disappointed by the decision to refuse permission for a development that is compliant with policy and meets the council’s own aspirations.”
