Cambridge City Council has approved Brookgate’s application for a new 153,644 sq ft office building on the CB1 estate on Cambridge’s Station Road.
The proposal merges two existing consented buildings to provide larger office space.
The new building has been designed by architects Perkins + Will and will be located near One Station Square, completed by Brookgate in early 2017 and occupied by Amazon, Carter Jonas, Deloitte and Thales.
Sven Topel, chief executive at Brookgate, said: “Getting the green light for the development of 10/20 Station Road is positive for the CB1 estate and Cambridge. The scheme will deliver office accommodation in this highly connected part of Cambridge, acting to support businesses in the city.”
