Gordon Brown is to announce a £150m investment package forNorthern Ireland.
The chancellor will also announce that Belfast Harbouris to become the first state-owned port to be released from full publicownership by the Labour government.
The aid scheme would consist of money for transport schemes,airports, schools, research and development for industry, and tourism.
Officials confirmed plans for improvements to the West Link in Belfastand the Toome bypass in the west of the province.
