Bruntwood and Select Property Group have submitted plans for a 506-home PRS scheme targeting the millennial market in Manchester.

The two towers would be located on New Bailey Street, next to the riverside footpath which links Spinningfields to Blackfriars Street.

Designs show a 33-storey building, Affinity Living Riverview, which comprises 318 flats, and a 16-storey building, Affinity Living Riverside, which comprises 188 flats.

The scheme would operate under Select’s Affinity Living brand, which targets the “millennial rental customer who chooses to live with friends and places great value on socialising”.

Plans include large social lounge areas and private dining rooms, as well as co-working space and a gym.

Level 33 of the taller building has been designed with a roof garden, media room and private entertainment space with views over the city.

The project is the second joint venture between Bruntwood and Select. The partners are also bringing forward Circle Square, a major regeneration of the former BBC site on Oxford Road.

Construction is due to begin in October, subject to receiving planning permission.
