Manchester-based developer and investor Bruntwood has launched a new flexible serviced offices venture.
The company, which specialises in refurbishments and owns £750m of property, mainly in the North West, is to put 10 of its buildings into the venture.
They will be made available on flexible leases from as little as one day in length.
Tenants will have the choice of paying for services such as meeting rooms and administrative support on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Chris Oglesby, chief executive of Bruntwood, said the aim was to provide better flexibility and reduce costs for occupants.
He said: “We’re really offering a more efficient way of running a business.
“Rather than companies having to design meeting rooms into their own suites, they can now use our shared facilities, in many cases leading to significant savings in fixed occupational costs.”
Oglesby said the Bruntwood offer would be priced around 20% lower than rival serviced office schemes and claimed that in some cases, tenants could save around 50% on the offer elsewhere.
The project was piloted in two Leeds buildings last year.
Initially, 600 desks and 55 meeting rooms will be made available across the North West.
The majority, totalling 300 desks and 40 meeting rooms, will be in central Manchester.
