Brussels has opened an investigation into Amazon to “take a very close look” into how the internet retail giant treats third-party merchants selling goods on its websites.
The latest inquiry into alleged anti-competitive practices of American technology companies was launched yesterday by Margrethe Vestager, the European Union competition commissioner who President Trump has accused of “hating” the United States.
