Bryant Properties have been selected by Sandwell council, advised by Hillier Parker, to develop a 4-acre site which will be the third phase of West Bromwich’s Sandwell Centre.
To be known as the Farley Centre, the High Street project will total 75,000 sq ft and incorporates a 32,000-sq ft supermarket for Argyll, trading as Presto, nine shops, a restaurant, partial relocation of the street market and parking for 400 cars. Construction is expected to start in the spring.
The architects advising Bryant are Gordon Benoy & Partners, while Shearer Harris & Partners were advising the developers and have been retained as agents.
Bryant emerged as the preferred developer from a shortlist of four, the remaining three schemes being submitted by Centros Properties, Amalgamated and J J Gallagher with Hillards.
