Bryant tries Boots in Market Harborough

Joint developers Bryant Properties and Boots Development Properties — operating as Slateplace — have won outline consent for a 137,000-sq ft retail development in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

The scheme will be called St Mary’s Place and Sainsbury has bought 49,000 sq ft on the site for a superstore. The centre will house 23 units ranging from 400 sq ft to 6,250 sq ft. Boots will take around 6,000 sq ft.

Also included is a new market hall which letting agents Oliver Liggins and Healey Baker say will hold up to 90 traders. Finally the Peacock Inn, which is located at the entrance to the new development, is to be refurbished into a brasserie.
