BT Groups director of property, John Pike, has been appointed chairman of the CBI property management forum.
Pike, who takes up the post in December, will direct the CBIs position on property and planning policies alongside the lobbying of government to assert propertys role within the economy.
Pike, who played a lead role in the delivery of BTs groundbreaking £2.38bn property outsourcing deal with Telereal, said: “I am looking forward to working with senior industry colleagues to address some of the hard issues facing the business and property communities such as the cost of occupation, the role of property within overall business strategy and reform of the planning system.”
