BT has revealed that it has cut its Bristol office requirement from 13,935 sq m (150,000 sq ft) to 8,361 sq m (90,000 sq ft) following a reassessment of its property needs in the city.
The communications giant has confirmed that three sites, Temple Quay, Harbourside and Bristol Bridge have been shortlisted for its new offices under the Workstyle 2000 programme.
Agents are eagerly awaiting the final choice – expected later this year – as the requirement will kick start one of the three most prominent sites in the city. However, it now appears that the boost will be smaller than anticipated.
Nancy Elliott, a BT portfolio surveyor, said: “We reviewed our requirements internally and we asked three sites to come back to us with bids based on 90,000 sq ft.”
DTZ Debenham Thorpe is advising BT.
