BT starts search for new offices in Nottingham

British Telecommunications has launched a search for new offices in Nottingham, starting the biggest hunt for property in the city for more than three years.

The communications giant has appointed Fuller Peiser’s Birmingham office to look for a 6,503 sq m (70,000 sq ft) headquarters in the city centre. Alternatively, it will consider building itself if a suitable site is available.

At the moment BT occupies two offices in Lower Parliament Street and another building on Maid Marian Way. It wants to move 600 staff into its new premises by summer 1998 as part of its Workstyle 2000 programme.
