Builders go pink for breast cancer campaign

The Hubble telescope was showing images of an unidentifiable mass of pink from Earth a few weeks back.

We can only guess that it was this fetching lot at the Crown Estate’s West End sites in London, who came over all blush to support Wear It Pink Day.

Hundreds of construction workers at the developer’s Regent Street and St James’s sites were joined by glamorous actress and comedy star Olivia Lee, whose presence, according to development director Alastair Smart, was key to getting the men’s co-operation. Typical.

He added: “If The Crown Estate can get 300 construction workers to wear pink on site, then there are no excuses for anyone else!” The team raised more than £8,780 for Breast Cancer Campaign.
