Building has begun a month early on the international broadcast centre and main press centre for the London 2012 Olympic Games.
It is the last major venue to begin construction and hopes are high that it will act as a catalyst for the regeneration of the area, providing office space for up to 13,000 people in the media and technology sectors.
The Olympic Delivery Authority said the “big build”was ahead of schedule.
