Bulgari Hotels & Resorts has signed for a new Bulgari Hotel in London’s Knightsbridge, due to open in spring 2012.
The hotel, which is under construction by Prime Investors Capital, will be Bulgari’s third hotel project and comes after the opening of a hotel in Milan in 2004 and a resort in Bali in 2006.
The company said the new London hotel has been designed by architect Antonio Citterio, Patricia Viel & Partners, with Squire & Partners as the local architect.
It will include 85 rooms and suites, a restaurant and bar, as well as a large ballroom, private cinema and spa and fitness centre.
Bulgar Group chief executive Francesco Trapani said: “This hotel – the first new-build luxury hotel in London for over 40 years – will be another important element in the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts project. I’m convinced that it will be a further statement of our brand in the UK, which is a strategic market for luxury goods.”
