The Guardian repeats yesterday’s Financial Times report that Birmingham had leapt 10 places in Experian’s premier league of shopping centres to third place following its £500m investment in the Bullring.
The West End maintains last year’s first place and Glasgow second place. Bluewater, in Kent, is 10th but it comes top of the out-of-town centres.
The rankings are a valuable tool for helping retailers decide where to invest and open new shops.
