Bundle of leases takes General Projects and KKR’s Heal’s Building to 75% let

Developer General Projects and investor KKR are three-quarters of the way to filling their redevelopment of the former Heal’s Building department store at 196 Tottenham Court Road, W1, after securing a series of lettings.

Listed Canadian mining company First Quantum Minerals has taken 12,500 sq ft on the second floor ahead of a move this summer, following the final fit-out.

Technology company FloQast has signed for 3,500 sq ft of fully fitted space in the building, while Yun Noodles of Brick Lane will open its second London location in a 2,500 sq ft retail unit facing Torrington Place.

Existing tenants within the building have also elected to renew their leases.

Housing association Anchor Hanover Group has renewed for 5,500 sq ft, editing and post-production business Whitehouse Post has retained 4,800 sq ft and life sciences company Huntsworth has resigned for its 10,000 sq ft.

The lettings leave roughly a quarter of the space within the building available to let, including 10,500 sq ft of which are currently under offer. A deal is expected to conclude by summer.

The reimagined building combines eight interlinking buildings, with a newly designed retail space for Heal’s on the ground and lower-ground floors and workspace on the development’s upper floors offering 135,000 sq ft of office space.
