Bunker to get SME makeover

Manchester-based developer Capital & Centric has submitted plans for a £4m business centre next to the former Littlewoods Pools headquarters off Edge Lane in Liverpool.

The 17,500 sq ft derelict warehouse, known as the Bunker Building, is to be divided into 18 small office suites for SMEs. The office suites in the building would range from 320 sq ft to 600 sq ft.

The firm is buying the Bunker site from the Homes & Communities Agency.

Shed KM is the appointed architect. A decision is expected in March.

Capital & Centric has already submitted plans for the £19m redevelopment of the Littlewoods building, which will include 50,000 sq ft of new office space and a hotel.
