CMI plans to establish a business school venture at Adastral Park, in East Anglia.
The joint venture between Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Cambridge University will be a big boost for the technology park at Martlesham, near Ipswich.
CMI has the backing of £68m of public funding. It requires another £16m from industry.
