Capital & Regional and Drum Property Group have submitted plans to remodel an entrance to Ipswich’s Buttermarket shopping centre as part of a £35m overhaul of the site.
The joint venture developers have proposed to remodel the St Stephen’s Lane entrance, improving access to Arras Square.
It comes after the partners announced that Empire will operate a 12-screen cinema complex and Pure Gym will open a 20,000 sq ft gym at the shopping centre.
The redevelopment will also deliver six new restaurants.
C&R and Drum bought the 250,000 sq ft shopping centre for £9.2m in March this year.
