C&W and JLL to market Widnes 3MG

Stobart has appointed Cushman & Wakefield and Jones Lang LaSalle to market its proposed £40m Mersey Multimodal Gateway Scheme.

Stobart Estates, the property arm of Stobart Group has submitted plans for three distribution centres at the site known as 3MG in Widnes, Cheshire.

The company said it intends to sell the facilities to firms likely to use Stobart services, such as transport and rail.

Mark Webster, head of national logistics at C&W, said: “The logistics sector is largely being driven by retail, and retailers are looking to maximise their green credentials. Giving tenants and landlords easy access to Stobart rail, makes 3MG extremely attractive to certain investors.”
