CA Ventures has hired Niall Malone as it continues to build its BTR presence in Europe.
Malone has been appointed as senior vice-president to spearhead CA’s European multifamily and build-to-rent business. He will also support the continued growth and success of CA’s premium purpose-built student accommodation platform.
Malone has more than 12 years’ experience in property development and investment.
Prior to joining CA, Malone was the head of acquisitions at Watkin Jones, where he oversaw the acquisition and development of more than 6,000 multifamily, co-living, and PBSA units with a gross development value of more than £1bn.
Malone has also served as an investment manager with Fizzy Living, where he was involved in the acquisition and asset management of a 1,000-home portfolio in London backed by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
Carlo Matta, president and head of Europe for CA Ventures said: “Our expansion into the BTR space is a natural next step for CA Europe following the profound success we’ve seen for our PBSA products, which continue to demonstrate strong leasing patterns in their respective markets.
“Niall’s appointment enables us to extend that success across the broader BTR market while fulfilling market demand for premium rentals and corresponding investor appetite.”
Malone added: “CA’s rapid success in the PBSA space is an indication of the opportunity that exists in Europe today and the value we can provide to both tenants and capital partners. As the UK BTR sector starts to come of age, there is an unprecedented opportunity to deliver a superior product and service across Europe and I look forward to applying my knowledge of the space to support the continued growth of the business.”
