Caddick bolsters team with two new hires

Yorkshire-based Caddick Group has made two new hires and taken new office space in London as it looks to grow its £5bn development pipeline and expand its presence in London and the South East.

It has appointed Alistair Smith from Town Centre Securities as associate director in its development arm. He will work on several projects, including the delivery of its new neighbourhood in central Leeds, SOYO and its mixed-use City One scheme.

He will also assist on the delivery of Caddick Developments’ growing industrial and logistics pipeline.

Smith was at Town Centre Securities for more than four years. Prior to this he was at supermarket Morrisons for more than seven years.

He is joined at Caddick by Charlie Adcock who joins the group as an acquisitions manager in its build-to-rent business Moda Living.

Adcock, based in the new London office, will be responsible for sourcing new opportunities in London and the South of England.

He was previously at Summix Capital for more than a year and before that at Sterling Property Ventures.

Caddick’s new London office is in the Crown Estate’s flexible workspace at One Heddon Street, W1.

Johnny Caddick, director of Caddick Group, said: “As a group our focus remains on areas of the market that are structurally supported with long-term growth potential.

“We see a huge opportunity to redefine what city centre living means through both our Moda Living brand and major regeneration projects like SOYO and City One, and there remains strong demand for high-quality logistics facilities to service Britain’s e-commerce boom.”
