The property industry is nothing if not adventurous, and now there is an opportunity for professionals to put their derring –do to the test while raising money for LandAid and children’s charities.
The third Property Race Day charity race will take place on Friday 14 July 2017 over the straight mile at Ascot Racecourse in Berkshire.
Organisers are looking for men and women to commit to training as a jockey and beat their peers over the finish at the networking event.
Competitors will be racing to claim the crown from reigning champion Tom Faber, of Savills, who bore down the straight on his horse Gannicus to the cheers of more than 1,000 property industry networkers.
“It’s the most my lungs have ever burnt in my life,” he told EG during his winners’ interview. “But it was an epic, epic experience.”
The charity race is open to 12 riders. Each will need to source his or her own horse, which must be a racehorse currently in training with a licensed trainer. Prior to taking part, participants will be required to attend a one-day training course.
Some other conditions apply and competitors must raise a minimum of £5,000 for charity.
