Calthorpe Estates has appointed Bilfinger GVA to provide property management services at the mixed-use Pebble Mill scheme in Birmingham.
Bilfinger GVA joins Colliers International as joint letting agent on the 27-acre former BBC site, which is currently being transformed to deliver 350,000 sq ft of medical and life science facilities.
Located within Edgbaston Medical Quarter, an area which contains more than 64% of Birmingham’s healthcare economy, the Pebble Mill scheme will include the new 172,000 sq ft Dental Hospital and School of Dentistry, which is nearing completion.
The site also has planning permission for a 150,000 sq ft private hospital. Circle Health has submitted a reserved matters planning submission for a 62-bedroom BUPA care home, and a state-of-the-art BREEAM “Excellent” rated 55,000 sq ft medical building on Plot Four, which Calthorpe Estates will be developing and for which occupiers are being sought.
Work on the access routes in and out of the estate and the first phase of the associated public realm will be completed in September.
