Demand for Cambridge office space is almost back up to pre-recession levels, with primary and secondary rental prices rising by 11.5%-25% over the past 12 months, according to Bidwells.
Take-up in 2013 is expected to “exceed all previous records for the city”, with 304,200 sq ft of space already let in H1, according to the agents.
Chris Reeve, partner at Bidwells, said: “The Cambridge office market has bucked the trend, fuelled as it has been by the potent combination of high economic activity and a significant increase in inward investment. We are confident that due to continued strong demand we will see the same for the rest of the year.”
