Cambridge parade under the hammer

An unbroken retail and residential parade close to Cambridge railway station will go under the hammer at the Acuitus sale next week, guided at £2.95m.

The corner property opposite the University of Cambridge Botanic Garden produces £181,443 per annum and comprises five shops, a nightclub, a restaurant and six flats. Planning consent has been granted to convert vacant space to create two more flats and a rear store offers further potential along with parking.

The sale on 19 October at the Radisson Blu Portman Hotel, W1, will see close to 100 properties offered.

Other lots include a prime retail parade in Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, let to Specsavers, Joules and Charnley Opticians. Guided at £2.9m, it produces income of £193,500 per annum and is being sold on behalf of a Cambridge college.
