The number of people employed in Cambridge and South Cambridgeshire has risen by 31.3% over the last 10 years, while the average price of a house there is £491,000.
Savills suggests a number of potential solutions, including increased occupation density and better use of space, building on the green belt and in satellite towns, and the creation of new towns.
