Cambridge University has annoucned a draft plan for a £300m science and technology centre on the outskirts of the city.
It is part of a strategy to provide modern research and teaching facilities away from the cramped buildings in the city centre.
Local people will have a chance to examine the scheme before a planning application is submitted next year.
