Can healthcare property boom save the NHS?

Property companies are stepping in to fill the gap to build the surgeries fit for modern healthcare.

These companies, such as Assura and Primary Health Properties, take on the development risk and lease the buildings back to GPs for a rent agreed by the local NHS trust.

GPs are essentially contractors to the NHS and they bill their rent back to the national service.
