Canary Wharf a building too high for ‘spiderman’

Alain Robert, a Frenchman renowned for scaling tall buildings without ropes or other equipment, was rescued by police yesterday after getting two thirds of the way up Britain’s tallest building Canary Wharf.

Known as “spiderman”, the father of three became the first person to climb the Canary Wharf tower in 1995.
