An unexploded 20-year-old bomb delayed by a day Christian Candy’s plans to transform London’s Thistle Kensington Palace hotel and the neighbouring Kensington Park hotel, W8, into 97 luxury flats.
The device was discovered in a hollowed-out bible inside the hotel’s safety deposit box last Tuesday (23 October), while the hotel was being vacated by staff to make way for Candy’s CPC Group to begin its 550,000 sq ft redevelopment.
