Canon relocate to west London

Canon is moving its European headquarters from Amsterdam to London.

The Japanese photography firm said it had completed a strategic review to bring the management of its European operations together and had chosen London for the capital’s skilled workforce, technological capability and, surprisingly, its transport links.

An estimated 226 senior jobs will move over the summer to Canon’s new headquarters at Stockley Park, near Heathrow.

The company’s main strategic and finance operations will form the bulk of the move, making London its European base.
