Capco’s Curtis to join retail team at Bicester Village

Capital & Counties’ former director of Covent Garden, Sarah-Jane Curtis, is joining the retail team at Bicester Village.

Curtis will take on a senior position at the out-of-town designer discount centre, which is owned by Value Retail.

At Capco, Curtis was responsible for the management of the Covent Garden estate where she was in charge of leasing, development and asset management.

She began her career in 1986 as a valuation surveyor in Grosvenor’s London estate after graduating from De Montfort University in Leicester with a degree in estate management.

There are plans to increase the outlet shopping village in Oxfordshire by 24% by demolishing an adjoining Tesco and extending the mall by 55,900 sq ft, which would be enough to accommodate as many as 28 new shops.

The new shops will bring its total to 158 and plans were approved by Cherwell District Council last year following an initial application in 2014.
