Services giant Capita has broken into the real estate finance market with the appointment of James Wright and Tracey Folkes to a lending team.
The pair will pave the way for Capita’s lending business focusing on originating senior, mezzanine and junior loans.
Wright joins from CBRE’s debt and structured finance team, where he was an originator on its loans platform. Prior to this Wright was with the UK property team at Anglo Irish Bank UK.
Folkes has been with Capita since 2009 and joined as part of its purchase of Capmark’s European business. Since then she has been in the loan workout team, servicing the CMBS and balance sheet loans Capita inherited in the purchase.
Prior to Capita, Folkes worked at Dawnay Property Finance sourcing secured debt.
Wright said: “Capita’s position as the largest independent servicer of real estate secured loans in Europe means it is uniquely placed to assist -clients in sourcing and arranging large, complex and highly structured financial solutions.”
