Capital & Centric has submitted plans to convert the Crusader Works mill complex in Manchester into 201 apartments.

The proposed £50m scheme, designed by Shedkm, will provide 126 apartments in the existing mill and a further 75 apartments in an adjacent 10-storey building.

Adam Higgins of Capital & Centric said: “Together with Kampus, our £200m scheme on Aytoun Street with our joint venture partner, Henry Boot, Crusader Works forms an important part of a jigsaw in the regeneration of this area of Manchester and reinforces our firm commitment to creating a vibrant new destination for the city.”

Work is due to start in May 2017 on the Grade II listed mill complex near Piccadilly station. The first phase of apartments will be ready for occupation towards the end of 2018.
