Capital & Regional (C&R) has been appointed developer for the retail park to be constructed as part of Cardiff City football club’s new stadium complex.
The 32-acre (13ha) site is being acquired by C&R and has planning consent for 300,000 sq ft (27,868 sq m) of retail warehousing as well as 100,000 sq ft (9,289 sq m) for a food store/supermarket.
Cardiff council granted the consent as part of the redevelopment proposals for the football stadium, which will also include an athletics stadium and a residential scheme with community housing.
Work on the retail scheme is due to start on site in autumn this year with completion due for Autumn 2005.
Cushman & Wakefield Healey & Baker are letting agents for the development.
