A Japanese automotive manufacturer is about to purchase a production plant at Conder Developments’ Dove Valley Park in south Derbyshire.
Futaba, which supplies body parts to car manufacturers including Toyota, is in advanced talks with the local developer for a presale of up to 350,000 sq ft.
This will be the first time the manufacturer has had a presence in the UK.
Phase one of Conder Developments’ £30m scheme is a 225,000 sq ft plant with associated offices, which could be expanded to 350,000 sq ft. The new production plant will house 200 staff.
