Cardin named as DJ Deloitte’s Birmingham chief

  Gary Cardin has been appointed to lead the new Drivers Jonas Deloitte operation in Birmingham.   Cardin was previously head of Drivers Jonas’s office in the city before its merger with Deloitte.   He said: “My role will be similar as it is now. Driver Jonas Deloitte will be Deloitte’s real estate arm. It’s very firmly fitted into Deloitte’s overall structure as a service line around property.”   Drivers Jonas Birmingham is also due to relocate its 50-strong workforce from offices on Cornwall Street, in the city’s central business district, to Deloitte’s offices at number Four Brindleyplace, where 650 staff occupy two floors.   Richard Edwards will remain the Midlands’ practice senior partner at Deloitte.   Cardin added: “DJ Deloitte will carry on doing what DJ has done until now, as well as provide advice on tax audit and real estate corporate finance. Whilst our current focus is on our clients and existing instructions we are also seeing immediate work streams as a direct result of the merger.”   lisa.pilkington@estatesgazette.copm
