Care UK’s fifth development in its 30-home portfolio plan is set to be a 90-bedroom nursing home in Edinburgh.
Essex-based Care UK has submitted plans for a £10m 47,953 sq ft luxury nursing home in Redford Road to City of Edinburgh council.
The building, set on 2 acres, will also include a coffee shop, library and hair salon.
Care UK said it is funding the project itself, and plans to invest in 25 more care homes over the next five years.
Completion of the property is expected in spring 2013.
