Property consultancy Carter Jonas has snapped up a partner from Gerald Eve to bolster its central London investment offering.
Justin James (pictured), who has also held senior roles at legacy Avison Young firm GVA UK, Colliers International and BNP Paribas Real Estate, joined the consultancy’s London commercial team last month.
He will work with Carter Jonas national investment chief John Knight to grow the firm’s central London occupational agency capabilities.
In his 25 years in the sector, James has advised clients including A&A Investments, Allegra Holdings, Pontegadea and DIO across the core West End and City markets.
James’s previous role at Gerald Eve was focused on introducing new and existing investors to the central London office market, based in the firm’s West End office.
Knight said: “Justin is a well-known and highly regarded figure in the London investment market. His skill set and strong track record of deal delivery make him a valuable addition to the team.
“His experience will forge new collaborations, with our growing central London occupational agency capabilities, and further enhance Carter Jonas’s offering.”
The appointment comes amid a fast-changing landscape in the central London market, with deal activity still on the road to recovery after the pandemic.
James said: “Current economic conditions and changing workspace requirements have created new focal points of interest for investors.”
