Carter Jonas opens first Manchester office

Carter Jonas has opened its first office in Manchester as part of its expansion strategy in the North West, headed by former CBRE senior director Harry Bolton.

The office, at Bloc on Spring Gardens in the city centre, is the firm’s second site in the region.

The office will initially accommodate up to eight professionals, with Bolton leading the team as a partner and head of planning and development in Manchester.

He will work alongside head of science and technology Matt Lee, as well as colleagues in Warrington and Leeds on mandates, while exploring opportunities to grow the business to support new private and public sector clients across the North West.

The office will contain specialists from its transactional and consultancy teams including planning, development, national capital markets, industrial, science and technology and infrastructure.

Bolton worked at CBRE for more than a decade. Before that, he held roles at Deloitte Real Estate and Drivers Jonas.

During his 15-year career in Manchester, he has advised on a range of notable development and regeneration projects across the North West for clients including Ask Real Estate, Barclays, Countryside Properties, Corestate Capital, Cheshire West and Chester Council, Liverpool John Moore’s University, Manchester Airports Group, Muse Developments, Stockport MBC and the University of Liverpool.

Richard Bruce, chief executive at Carter Jonas, said: “Carter Jonas’ expansion into Manchester is an exciting development in our strategic growth, as we reinforce our presence in core markets and regions. Manchester, with its rich legacy of innovation and collaboration, continues to embrace new technologies and advancements, upholding its reputation as a world-leading city.

“Having established strong foundations in the region, we are pleased to set up an office in the heart of Manchester. Harry and Matt have an exceptional network of contacts and comprehensive market knowledge. From our new space, we can fulfil current mandates whilst pursuing opportunities requiring on-the-ground support.”

Bolton said: “Matt and I have been working to develop our approach, building on the firm’s success. We’re looking forward to creating an ambitious, capable and collaborative team, bringing together individuals with a deep understanding of the area and its real estate requirements, committed to meeting client needs and contributing to the region’s vibrant and dynamic environment.”
