Carter Jonas names new finance director

Carter Jonas has appointed Don Cathcart as its new finance director.

He will be taking over from Rod Meade, who has held the role since 2010 and will be retiring at the end of this month. There will be a transition period involving close collaboration between the two to ensure a seamless handover.

With more than three decades of experience in the financial services industry, Cathcart brings a wealth of expertise to the role. He has held positions at Schroders, BNP Paribas, Royal Bank of Canada, Smith & Williamson and, most recently, Brown Shipley.

In his new role, Cathcart will help shape Carter Jonas’s strategy to advance its business and help clients and stakeholders understand how the consultancy can support them in achieving their objectives.

Richard Bruce, chief executive at Carter Jonas, said: “As we move forward with our 2030 strategy planning, we are drawing from our collective experience and that of our teams. Don’s expertise will be invaluable in this process.”
