Cartier, manufacturer of luxury jewellery as worn by Italian actress Monica Bellucci – is moving south to avoid an upcoming rent review.
It is surrendering its lease at 229 Sloane Street, SW1, and moving down the street towards Sloane Square, to a 200,000 sq ft store at number 143.
The shop was previously let to upmarket shoe and accessory store Ferragamo, which had to surrender its lease after failing to move in because its Italian board did not approve the deal.
Cartier signed a new 20-year lease at £415,000 pa.
