Leeds-based property company Sterling Capitol has appointed Gary Cartmell as its managing director.
The appointment follows the retirement of chief executive Martin Croxen, who will remain on Sterling’s board as a non-executive director.
Cartmell joined Sterling, which is chaired by former Sunderland AFC chairman Sir Bob Murray, in 2010. The firm has also appointed to its board Peter Walker, chief executive of Doncaster-based manufacturer Omega, and Pinsent Masons property lawyer Nigel McClea.
Murray said: “These are very important strategic appointments for Sterling Capitol, which will both enhance and strengthen the company’s board of directors.
