The National Trust has warned that Castle Drogo, in Dartmoor, faces falling into ruin unless £11m repairs are made to protect it from inclement weather.
The Edwin Lutyens-designed property, deemed “a masterpiece of 20th-century architecture” has structural problems which let water seep in, damaging stonework. The trust has unveiled a £1.5m fund-raising campaign.
