Castlemore Securities £75m Grenfell Island scheme in Maidenhead has gone under offer to Hutchinson Telecom.
Sources believe that a rent of £377 per sq m (£35 per sq ft) has been achieved on the schemes 9,290 sq m (110,000 sq ft) office element, which would set a record for the town.
The telecoms firm is to set up home in the two office buildings of 6,503 sq m (70,000 sq ft) and 3,716 sq m (40,000 sq ft) respectively.
The mixed-use scheme, which is due for completion later this year, will also include a 3,252 sq m (35,000 sq ft) fitness centre to be occupied by Heathland UK, an eight-screen UCI cinema, and three restaurant-bars, including Dialto and Bar 38, as well as a residential element and 417 car parking spaces.
Grenfell Island was marketed by Insignia Richard Ellis and Lambert Smith Hampton. Saxon Law acted for the tenant.
