Catella Corporate Finance has hired Jens Andersson and Oscar Engellau to provide advisory services on Stockholm property transactions.
Andersson has joined Catella from Swedish mezzanine finance firm Vanir Asset Management, where he served as chief financial officer and credit manager. He previously worked with Aareal Bank, SEB and GE Capital.
Engellau has joined Catella from Barclays Capital in London, where he previously worked in Deutsche Bank’s investment banking department.
“In recent years we have witnessed an ever-increasing demand for advisory services relating to property financing,” said CCF’s managing director Thomas Persson.
“With these recruitments, we are further strengthening our offer within debt financing.”
The firm has also hired Christian Uddland and Beata Jacobsson in its property transactions team in Stockholm. Uddland joined from Skanska Financial Services, where he worked for four years on property financing and the provision of financial advice. He is also the chairman of the property economist association Föreningen Fastighetsekonomerna. Jacobsson is a graduate in property economics at the Royal College of Technology in Stockholm.
“Despite a degree of reticence on the financing side, the transactions market in Sweden continues to be one of the most active in Europe,” said Persson. “We are recruiting two new staff members to our transactions team in Stockholm, and will probably recruit an additional one or more junior staff members during the autumn.”
