Caterpillar Logistics Services is building a 74,320 sq m (800,000 sq ft) extension to its Desford warehouse, in Leicestershire.
Caterpillar will manage the extended 139,350 sq m (1.5m sq ft) facility under a 10-year contract with BMW. It will store and distribute parts for all Rover, Land Rover, MG and Mini models throughout the world.
The expanded operations will progressively come on stream from July 2001.
