Catesby names new finance boss

Catesby Estates has named Toby Railton as head of finance as the land promotion specialist continues to expand its portfolio. He replaces Philip Partridge, who was previously director of finance and now serves at Lovell Partnerships.

Railton will be based in the Midlands and will oversee all of the firm’s finance functions, including procurement, site appraisal, project cash flows and financial and management accounting.

He joins Catesby from Barratt Homes, where he was a finance manager. Prior to this, Railton was a chartered accountant and auditor at KPMG, working with clients in the land promotion, affordable housing and housebuilding sectors.

Myron Osborne, chief executive at Catesby, said: “The demand for land by housebuilders remains strong, and as we continue to grow our land promotion portfolio, Toby will be a key part of our future business growth.”

Catesby is a part of Urban & Civic following its acquisition in 2015. Overall, since its establishment in 1996, the firm has delivered planning approvals for more than 18,750 homes across 3,935 acres of land.
