The Confederation of British (CBI) industry has warned the UK must remove “stumbling blocks” to inward investment.
John Cridland, director-general, said at the launch of a CBI report on the UK as an investment location that the government must play up the country’s strengths and removed planning, tax, red tape and skills barriers if the nation was not to fall further down the inward investment league. He revealed the UK had dropped from second to fourth as an inward investment destination.
